Tara’s primary care physician at CHP encouraged her to get a mammogram. After being diagnosed with breast cancer, her CHP doctor assisted her in finding a surgeon she could trust at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. Many women (and men) like Tara need medical help, but they find that private medical practices turn them away because they have state-sponsored health insurance. CHP, however, accept all patients regardless of insurance status.
