Christopher Phillips, President
Chris is a marketing and communications consultant specializing in health care, and he resides in Pittsfield. He earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Oregon.
Brian Drake, Vice-President
Brian is a Williamstown resident and vice president of group benefits at MountainOne. He earned his MBA at UMass-Lowell and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut.
Christopher Pedersen, Treasurer
Chris is a Pittsfield resident, and works as a medical practice manager at BayState Surgery in Springfield. He holds a bachelor’s degree in speech communications from Pennsylvania State University.
Art Ames, Clerk
Art is a resident of West Stockbridge. A past manager of the Berkshire Co-op Market, he is a now music writer. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Boston University.
A Richmond resident, Nicole is the owner of Antil Creative and chief creative officer for Graham-Pelton Consulting, a nonprofit fundraising and management consulting firm. A graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute, she is also a 2017 graduate of the Berkshire Leadership Program.
A resident of of Great Barrington, Leslie is dean of Bard College at Simon’s Rock, where she has worked since 1996. She holds a master’s in educational administration, planning and social policy from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Denison University.
Gloria is community development coordinator for Greylock Federal Credit Union; she is also a certified credit union financial counselor. She also works as a bookkeeper at the Southern Berkshire Community Development Corp. She is pursuing a business administration degree at Berkshire Community College and earned a certificate in accounting from Mildred Elley. She lives in Great Barrington.
Rick, a Lenox resident, is the director of programs in Healthcare Administration, serves as chair of the Healthcare Administration department and is a professor of Healthcare Administration at Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School in Boston. He holds an MBA from New York University and earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in political science from Rutgers University.
An associate at the Pittsfield law firm of Smith, Greene & Gold, Allyson’s work involves estate planning, elder law and real estate. She is a graduate of Williams College and Suffolk University Law School
A Lee resident, Chuck is president and CEO of Lee Bank. He previously worked for Berkshire Bank and TDBank throughout New England and New York. He is a graduate of Claremont Graduate University’s School of Management and earned his B.A. in government from Colby College.
Vin is director of the Ralph C. Froio Senior Center in Pittsfield and is a past elementary school teacher in Pittsfield’s Catholic schools. He served as director of the Catholic Youth Center for many years, and is a past member of the Pittsfield Youth Commission. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology and a teaching certificate from St. Anselm’s college.
Patricia Salomon, MD
A Monterey resident, Pat is a retired pediatrician. As a commissioned officer in the U.S. Public Health Service, she worked with the federal Health Resources and Services Agency on issues of access to primary care and served as medical director for the Bureau of Primary Health Care.
At least 51% of an FQHC’s volunteer board members must use the health center’s services. The board must meet monthly and it is responsible for:
- Legal and fiduciary oversight for the CHP organization and grants
- Strategic planning and evaluation of progress
- Approve annual budget and grant applications
No other entity/individual can have the ability to override or veto governing board decisions.
