Leigh LoPresti, MD, family medicine physician, has joined the primary care team at CHP North Adams Family Medical and Dental Center.
Dr. LoPresti is a former chief medical officer at Battenkill Valley Health Center in Arlington, Vermont. He has practiced family medicine in Massachusetts, Wisconsin and Minnesota, and most recently in Randolph, Vt. In addition to his practice experience, Dr. LoPresti has served on the faculties of the UMass Medical Center, the University of Vermont, Eastern Maine Medical Center and the Medical College of Wisconsin.
A graduate of the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Dr. LoPresti earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at Amherst College. Following the completion of his medical degree, he completed residencies in Fayetteville, N.C. and in Burlington, Vt., followed by fellowships and research appointments. He was as a faculty scholar in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
As an active member of medical practice organizations and committees, he has received numerous awards and honors for his work. He has published numerous papers and conducted lectures, peer-reviewed workshops and presentations around the U.S.
