Family Nurse Practitioner Joins CHP North Adams Family Medical & Dental Center
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Janine L. Risser has joined the primary care team at CHP North Adams Family Medical & Dental Center.
Ms. Risser began her primary care career in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts, where she worked for many years in medical practices there. She most recently worked at the University of New Mexico Family Health Clinic in Albuquerque, providing comprehensive urgent, ongoing and preventive care to patients of all ages. Earlier, she worked in private and community-based medical practices in Washington State, Oregon and Arizona. She has worked at several federally qualified health centers similar to CHP.
Prior to earning an advanced nursing degree she worked as a registered nurse in hospital and community health care settings in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Ms. Risser earned her M.S. in nursing, family nurse practitioner, at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and completed her B.S. in nursing at Rhode Island College. In 2001, she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing.
