Dr. Bermudez received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. Upon graduating, Dr. Bermudez joined a private practice, and in 2005, moved to the Berkshires with her family. She joined CHP in May 2013. Her areas of practice include pediatric dentistry, root canals, crowns and prosthetics. Dr. Bermudez is fluent in Spanish and is committed to providing quality care for all her patients.
Dr. Jang graduated from Ohio State University with a B.S. and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University in 2014. Dr. Jang’s previous health center experience includes his externship at Dimock Community Health Center in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. In 2015, he moved to Berkshires and joined CHP. His areas of practice include pediatric dentistry, crowns, root canal, dentures, restorations and extractions. Dr. Jang is fluent in Korean and is passionate about providing quality care for all his patients.
Nina graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Moscow, and is a Registered Dental Hygienist in Massachusetts and New York. She has been involved in community dental projects promoting dental health awareness to school aged children for several years. Education is a priority and her goals are to promote, educate and provide outstanding dental care to each patient.
Dr. Ronald Maitland, a dental medicine educator at NYU and Tufts University, is a member of the Neighborhood Dental Center staff. He earned his D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and received his B.S. from Tufts University. With more than 50 professional years dedicated to dentistry education and research, Dr. Maitland teaches the art and science of dentistry to dental residents, and sees dental patients as well.
Most recently a practicing dentist in Illinois and Michigan, Dr. Sahyouni completed her residency at Berkshire Medical Center’s Dental Residency Program; she was chief dental resident at BMC.One of the top three graduates in her class at the School of Dentistry, Tishreen University, Lattakia, Syria, Dr. Sahyouni also completed a three-year residency in orthodontics at Dr. Abdul Qadir Mahloul Hospital in Damascus. She worked in private dental and orthodontic practices in her home country.
Dr. Sethi earned her bachelor of dental surgery degree at Christian Dental College in Ludhiana, India, and later earned a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Scranton (Penn.). She has worked as a dentist in India and held administrative and practice management positions in the U.S. before joining the BMC residency program. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the American College of Health Care Executives, the Indian Dental Council and the Upsilon Phi Delta Society.
Kristabel Vargas joined CHP Family Dental Center in 2008. She graduated in 2006 from Tunxis Community College in Connecticut with an A.S. in Dental Hygiene, and has been practicing dental hygiene since then; she is also certified as a Public Health Hygienist. Ms. Vargas is committed to making a positive impact on oral health, and has a particular interest in treating children and educating parents on good oral hygiene.
Terri Wendell has practiced exceptional dental care in Berkshire County for 25 years. She works side by side with doctors Maitland and Nemser in the dental residency program at the Neighborhood Dental Center. A graduate of Hudson Valley Community College with an Associate Degree in Science in Dental Hygiene, Terri is committed to quality care and her patients’ overall health.
