Dr. Bermudez received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. Upon graduating, Dr. Bermudez joined a private practice, and in 2005, moved to the Berkshires with her family. She joined CHP in May 2013. Her areas of practice include pediatric dentistry, root canals, crowns and prosthetics. Dr. Bermudez is fluent in Spanish and is committed to providing quality care for all her patients.
Dr. Jang graduated from Ohio State University with a B.S. and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University in 2014. Dr. Jang’s previous health center experience includes his externship at Dimock Community Health Center in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. In 2015, he moved to Berkshires and joined CHP. His areas of practice include pediatric dentistry, crowns, root canal, dentures, restorations and extractions. Dr. Jang is fluent in Korean and is passionate about providing quality care for all his patients.
Dr. Jolaoso graduated from the University of Lagos with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree, and received his Master of Public Health from the State University of New York in Albany in 2011. The following year, he completed a Post-Doctoral Certificate in Dental Public Health also at SUNY Albany and he completed a General Practice Residency at Berkshire Medical Center in 2014. Providing patient focused dental care is his specialty. He has served those in need through his work with the Regional Centre of Oral Health Research and Training Initiatives for Africa (in collaboration with the World Health Organization) and the New York State Department of Health.
Nina graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Moscow, and is a Registered Dental Hygienist in Massachusetts and New York. She has been involved in community dental projects promoting dental health awareness to school aged children for several years. Education is a priority and her goals are to promote, educate and provide outstanding dental care to each patient.
Dr. Ronald Maitland, a dental medicine educator at NYU and Tufts University, is a member of the Neighborhood Dental Center staff. He earned his D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and received his B.S. from Tufts University. With more than 50 professional years dedicated to dentistry education and research, Dr. Maitland teaches the art and science of dentistry to dental residents, and sees dental patients as well.
Dr. Tyra received her Dental Surgery Degree from Poznan University of Medical Sciences, Poznan, Poland. She graduated from University of Hartford with a Political Science degree and received her ACES Pre-Pharmacy degree from University of Connecticut. Her primary areas of practice include pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. Dr. Tyra has a long history of giving back to her community through volunteer activities. She is fluent in Polish and is committed to providing quality care for all her patients.
Kristabel Vargas joined CHP Family Dental Center in 2008. She graduated in 2006 from Tunxis Community College in Connecticut with an A.S. in Dental Hygiene, and has been practicing dental hygiene since then; she is also certified as a Public Health Hygienist. Ms. Vargas is committed to making a positive impact on oral health, and has a particular interest in treating children and educating parents on good oral hygiene.
Terri Wendell has practiced exceptional dental care in Berkshire County for 25 years. She works side by side with doctors Maitland and Nemser in the dental residency program at the Neighborhood Dental Center. A graduate of Hudson Valley Community College with an Associate Degree in Science in Dental Hygiene, Terri is committed to quality care and her patients’ overall health.
